Any reference to GreenSmart® (also to we, us and our) in these terms and conditions is a reference to GreenSmart NZ. It is a condition of GreenSmart® that you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

GreenSmart® NZ Commitments to Partners

  1. Increase awareness of the GreenSmart® label by distributing key messages on the benefits of GreenSmart® qualified homes and related products.
  2. Provide current GreenSmart® information, guidance notes and an updated register of GreenSmart® partners (via the GreenSmart® website).
  3. Respond promptly to GreenSmart® Partner requests for information or clarification on GreenSmart® guidelines.

GreenSmart® Partner Commitments

  1. To promote products, home designs and features that have or will qualify for the GreenSmart® home assessment criteria and be able to describe those features and benefits to consumers.
  2. Actively promote a GreenSmart® qualified product or home within any ongoing 12-month period. Partners not fulfilling this requirement will be deemed 'inactive,' thereby forfeiting all rights to the GreenSmart® name and mark, their listing on the online GreenSmart® partner register, and any inclusion in GreenSmart® promotional materials.
  3. Co-brand and promote yourself or your business as a GreenSmart® partner.
  4. Co-brand with the GreenSmart® logo all homes that have been assessed to meet the GreenSmart® home standard.
  5. Only use the GreenSmart® logo while you are a licensed GreenSmart® partner.
  6. Indemnify us against all loss, damage, liability, cost and expense suffered or incurred by us as a result of your breach of these terms, including where you misrepresent yourself as being a licensed GreenSmart® partner.
  7. Adhere to the GreenSmart® website terms, marketing and brand guidelines.

General Commitments and Terms

  1. Use the partnership and the GreenSmart® logo to promote practical, affordable and sustainable home products and features that make New Zealand homes cheaper to run, more resource-efficient, healthier to live in – and kinder to our environment.
  2. Adhere to the GreenSmart® home assessment tool and ensure that authorised representatives also comply.
  3. To not use the GreenSmart® logo in any way that could mislead the public or bring the GreenSmart® program into disrepute.
